Feng Shui Tips for Weight Loss


Hey, it’s Leigh Ann Betts here. Welcome to What’s Up Wednesday. So today I want to talk about some tips where you can use Feng Shui to help with your weight loss.

Most people often think that Feng Shui is used for health, wealth and love life and general things like that. But you can use it for specific things. Like, weight loss. You can also use it for sleep issues. And there’s a whole bunch of different things you can use it for.

I’m an abundance coach as well as a certified Feng Shui practitioner. So I wanted to give you some tips that you can put into your weight loss regime to really help propel you forward. So you can feel and look good this summer. And just coming off the long weekend with all the amazing weather, we want to get our cute little dresses out and get out there and be active.

As you know, my number one tip is declutter. That is the biggest way to change your energy and the energy of your home. And just like how clutter clogs up your house, it actually clogs you up as well. And you will definitely experience weight loss when you declutter. I would also like you to specifically declutter the kitchen. Get the countertops clean.

Clutter begets clutter. The more clutter you have, the more that ends up resulting. So, clean out your pantry, clean out your fridge. Make sure you get rid of any expired items. Declutter is my number one tip for weight loss and actually changing the energy of your life.

Number two, I’m a huge essential oil fan. Diffuse peppermint essential oil. Get a high quality essential oil, like peppermint, and it will satiate your hunger. Basically when we’re in an emotional state, it basically triggers a response to eat in some cases. So, when you actually inhale peppermint, it actually satisfies you.

Plus, it’s also an oil that gives vigor and vitality. So, it’s great in the office or if you got to get things done around the house. It’s a really energizing oil to diffuse.

My third tip is to eat off dark plates. That’s right! Eat off dark plates. When we eat off white plates, we eat more and we eat faster. Eating off a darker plate, we’ll eat less. Also, it will aid in digestion, because we just slow it all down. Try that out as well.

Then, the last tips are around your bed and your mattress. If you actually have your mattress on the floor, that causes weight gain. It also causes other health issues. Get it off the ground on a bedframe. In Feng Shui we prefer a wooden bed frame. If you do happen to have a metal bed frame, a cure that you can use in between your sheets is to put a big red sheet in between your box spring and your mattress to cure the electromagnetic frequencies that come off your metal bed.

In that way, when you have the energy [AUDIO BREAKS 3:18] so once you’ve got your bed off the floor, or if you already have your bed off the floor, make sure you have nothing underneath it. No storage there. That clogs everything up. The energy doesn’t flow. You don’t get a good night’s rest. And you are not replenished in the morning.

But if you are pregnant, don’t move anything from underneath your bed, because in Feng Shui, underneath your bed is the foundation of your pregnancy. So you want to wait until after you have your baby and then, you can clean away.

But, if you are not pregnant, get all that stuff out of there and have it clear underneath your bed. See how you feel.
